Sephina started with one pearl necklace and an idea I couldn’t let go of.

While travelling in Lombok, Indonesia, I found a handmade pearl necklace that I fell in love with. It was beautiful, but the quality wasn’t quite what I wanted, so I started changing it myself by replacing details, experimenting with different pearls, gemstones and finishes until it became something I truly loved.

I didn’t know it at the time, but that necklace would become the beginning of Sephina.

My name is Josepha, and creating this brand has been an incredibly personal journey. What started as curiosity slowly became a love for the craft behind jewelry. I loved understanding where materials come from, how a piece is made, and how much difference the smallest details can make.

That journey eventually brought me to Ubud, where I had the opportunity to learn alongside incredibly talented local artisans and see firsthand the skill, patience and care that goes into making jewelry by hand.

It completely changed the way I saw luxury.

To me, luxury isn’t about following trends or producing more. It’s about beautiful materials, thoughtful details and pieces made with intention.

Today, Sephina is created using natural gemstones, freshwater pearls, sterling silver and premium gold vermeil, with each piece carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans in Bali.

But more than anything, I wanted Sephina to mean something.

Life changes us constantly. We grow, start again, take risks, fall in love, lose things, find ourselves and become different versions of who we once were. I wanted to create jewelry that could stay and support you through those chapters.

The gemstones we use don’t promise to change your life. Their meaning is yours to give them.

Sephina is simply a reminder to celebrate your own journey and the woman you are becoming.
